Leading major projects within a large-scale Building Management Systems (BMS) Replacement Programme in a GMP/GxP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Alongside project delivery, I have progressively taken on programme-level leadership responsibilities across governance, prioritisation, cross-project dependencies, stakeholder alignment and execution.

I played a key role in establishing the programme from its early feasibility phase, including project definition, CAPEX planning, business case development, funding approval, governance, delivery strategy and cross-project standardisation.

The programme involves the brownfield migration of legacy Priva-based BMS installations to Honeywell HC900 Process Automation Controllers with EBI visualisation, while maintaining operational continuity across manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories and other critical environments.

Key responsibilities & contributions

• Setting up and leading BMS replacement projects from feasibility and project definition through engineering, implementation, commissioning and operational handover
• Driving programme governance, prioritisation, cross-project dependencies, delivery controls and stakeholder alignment across multiple projects
• Leading feasibility assessments, CAPEX planning, business case development, CAR preparation, funding approval and budget management
• Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering, automation, operations, quality, system owners, suppliers and other stakeholders
• Managing Honeywell and subcontractors across engineering, automation, panel building, testing and commissioning
• Establishing User Requirement Specifications (URS) and coordinating baseline surveys of existing Priva cabinets, field instrumentation and installed system configurations
• Managing the development and review of engineering deliverables including DVLs, P&IDs, tag lists, alarm and parameter lists, functional design documentation, panel drawings, graphics and FAT/SAT documentation
• Coordinating system-owner review and approval of engineering documentation and operator graphics
• Managing technical interfaces, dependencies, risks, priorities and decision-making across multidisciplinary workstreams
• Coordinating FAT of new control cabinets and automation solutions at supplier facilities
• Planning and coordinating brownfield cutover activities, including replacement of existing Priva cabinets with new Honeywell control cabinets
• Leading SAT, functional and performance testing following installation and migration
• Driving lessons learned, standardisation and knowledge transfer across projects within the programme
• Maintaining GMP compliance, operational continuity and manufacturing reliability throughout execution
